Privacy Policy
Topout is designed to keep your climbing notes close to you. This policy explains what the app stores, what it does not collect, and how we handle outside links and device features.
Last updated June 1, 2026
What Topout stores
Topout stores the information you add inside the app, such as session logs, project notes, workout plans, routine check-ins, wall setups, and any media you attach. This information is meant to stay on your device.
Topout does not require an account to use the app and does not ask you to create a login before you can track your climbing.
What Topout does not collect
Topout does not intentionally collect personal information for a remote profile, does not run third-party advertising inside the app, and does not rely on mandatory cloud sync for core use.
If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before the new behavior goes live.
Notifications, links, and device permissions
If you turn on reminders or timers, Topout may use local notifications on your device. If you attach photos or videos, the app uses the permissions needed to let you choose that media.
Topout may also open outside links, including YouTube links you save in your routines. Those destinations are run by third parties and follow their own privacy practices.
Your choices
You can delete sessions, projects, routines, reminders, and gyms from inside the app. You can also remove the app from your device to remove local data stored with it.
If you use backups or exports, you are responsible for how and where you store those files after they leave the app.
